*Audio-Visual-Oral Course is designed for Chinese learners of intermediate or higher level. Under the guidance of the teacher, students will watch news reports, documentaries, talk shows, films, TV programs and other videos of hot topics in contemporary Chinese society. On this basis, they will be encouraged to take part in diverse activities such as group discussion, role play, dubbing, questionnaire, case study, etc. This course aims at training students' Chinese audio-visual understanding and oral expression ability, as well as deepening the students' understanding of Chinese society and culture.
*Shanghai History and Culture Course is designed for Chinese learners of advanced level. Students will get a deeper understanding of Shanghai and its people through the teacher's introduction of food culture, city features, Shanghai local dialect, nostalgic memories and Shanghainese character. They will also do some on-the-spot investigation under the guidance of the teacher. This course aims at improving students' ability of practical exploration and cross-culture communication.Diverse activities
We will build up a genuine Chinese cultural environment for all the students to motivate and enhance their language learning, arranging field trips to historical sights and varieties of activities like celebrations of traditional Chinese festivals, debating competition, Chinese drama contest, sports meeting, etc.
